50' Leopard
In August 2021, TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale responded to a dockside fire on the Dania Cut, where two catamarans caught fire and sank in place. Environmental mitigation was the top priority, with containment boom deployed to prevent further contamination. Lift bags were used to carefully raise the vessels, and divers secured the sponsons together to ensure safe handling. A crane then hoisted the catamarans from the water so they could be preserved for fire inspection.
